April 10, 2015

Membership of the USQRA, staff, coaches and volunteers:

On Wednesday, April 1, 2015, the United States Quad Rugby Association Board of Directors held its Annual General Meeting in Louisville, KY to discuss new proposals, elect new officers, and vote on amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws.

Per the Constitution and Bylaws, amendments to the Bylaws require a majority vote by Team Representatives (Article X, Section 1.) With 38 registered teams in the USQRA, 20 teams were required in order to hold a vote. Only nine teams were represented in person, with another seven teams represented by proxy. No votes were held as the membership was not represented by a majority.

On Wednesday, April 8, the Board of Directors held a special meeting (Article VI, Section 9.b) and made the following decisions:

All proposals must be resubmitted for consideration at the 2016 AGM as the meeting was adjourned without membership majority.

Carolyn Odom is appointed as Secretary, as Chuck Aoki has stepped down mid-term. (Article VI, Section 3.c)

Emily Shryock is appointed Second Vice President as Andy Zimmer elected not to run again.

Commissioner Dave Mengyan and Treasurer Debrah Whitehurst are reconfirmed in their positions.

The above Board members must have their appointments confirmed at the 2016 AGM (Article VI, Section 3.a.)

AGM Minutes will be placed on the USQRA website.

It is the role of an elected Board of Directors to serve its membership with unbiased views and selfless purpose. We look forward to continuing to serve you in this capacity.

Sincerely,

Bob Lujano,

President, United States Quad Rugby Association
