Wheelchair Rugby Tournament

CT Classic Tournament Summary: 
The 2013 CT Classic Wheelchair Rugby Tournament was held on December 7th and 8th at Manchester Community College, Manchester, CT. This four-team, round robin, tournament was co-hosted by the Sports Association of Gaylord Hospital and the New York Warriors. 
The Connecticut Jammers welcomed the Northeast Passage Wildcats, New York Warriors and the Philadelphia Eagles to the tournament. Connecticut also welcomed the Baltimore Tri-States Vengeance, who have teamed up with the Connecticut Jammers for the season. Each team played a total of four games over the course of the two-day tournament. 
The tournament started with a win for the New York Warriors, over the Connecticut Jammers, followed by wins for the Philadelphia Eagles over New Hampshire’s Northeast Passage Wildcats, the Connecticut Jammers and the New York Warriors. The Northeast Passage Wildcats also won over the Connecticut Jammers.
The second day of the tournament started with a win for the New York Warriors over the Northeast Passage Wildcats, followed by the two final games of the tournament. The Northeast Passage Wildcats took 3rd place, winning over the Connecticut Jammers 32 to 49. The final game was fast-paced and intense, with Philadelphia turning the cards and winning the final tournament game with a four point lead over the New York Warriors.
We would like to thank everyone who made this tournament possible, including Manchester Community College, Volunteers from the Connecticut Grey Rugby Team, Quinnipiac University, Gaylord Hospital and Southern Connecticut State University, and the referees who travelled from Maine, New Jersey, Virginia and New Hampshire. We are also thankful for our tournament sponsors: New Britain Medical Supplies, Push to Walk, Connecticut Grey Rugby Team, Summit Express Medical Supply, Randy’s Wooster St. Pizza, Marcum Accountants & Between Rounds. Without the support from all the volunteers, spectators, athletes, coaches, families, sponsors, and other supporters, this would not be possible, so Thank You!  
Results: 1st Place, Philadelphia Eagles; 2nd Place, New York Warriors; 3rd Place, Northeast Passage Wildcats and 4th Place, Connecticut Jammers.
Team Awards: Low Pointer, Nate Loomis of Northeast Passage Wildcats; Mid Pointer, Eric Anderson of the Philadelphia Eagles; High Pointer, Adam Ellis of the Northeast Passage Wildcats.  Most Valued Player was Joe Testerverde of the New York Warriors. The Sportsmanship award was given to Noah Smith of the Connecticut Jammers.
