Team Reps,

The USQRA post season is underway and we have already had a regional and all
the sections are preparing for their championships.

We have also had a team drop out of the mountain section - Phoenix Heat.
With their loss from post season the mountain section only has 3 teams.
This means that if everything remains the same we would only have 15 teams
at nationals.

The board has discussed multiple options and will be working with the one
that members speak of most - competition. All sections, including the
mountain will conduct their sectional tournaments as planned. The top 4 in
each section will advance to nationals as planned. As the mountain only has
3 teams advancing, the 3 other sections will send a 5th seed to nationals,
that will compete against the other 5th seeds for the 16th seed.

These games will be on the Thursday    before the championships April 26.
The format will be a round robin providing all teams attend. If one team
drops out it will be a one game playoff on Thursday the 26th. If two teams
drop out the remaining team will be seeded as the 16th seed.

This solution puts the emphasis on competition not subjective opinion. I am
certain that many will have opinions. Please make your voice known. Submit a
proposal and attend the AGM.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Respectfully,
James Gumbert
USQRA Commissioner.
